Attorneys And Practice Areas...

Attorney Albert D. Kirby, Jr.

       Mr. Kirby was born in Clinton, North Carolina on March 31, 1958. He graduated from Clinton High School where he lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track. During his senior year in high school, he earned all state honors in football. Mr. Kirby attended Wake Forest University on a full athletic scholarship. After graduating from Wake Forest in 1980, Mr. Kirby entered and graduated from Campbell University School of Law (Now the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law), in Buies Creek, North Carolina. He became an assistant District Attorney in Fayetteville and later in Greenville. With his move to Greenville, Mr. Kirby became an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at East Carolina University. He became a full time associate professor at East Carolina, after his work as an adjunct.
       Mr. Kirby is past president of the Sampson County Bar. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the National Association of Trial Lawyers, the North Carolina Council of School attorneys, The North Carolina Black Lawyers Association, and the Wake Forest Deacon Club. He is an avid swimmer and a “die hard” Demon Deacon Fan.

Attorney Keisha Roberson Philpot

     Keisha Philpot was born in Sampson County North Carolina and reared in the State of New Jersey. She attended North Carolina Central University for both undergraduate and law school. She has been associated with The Kirby Law Firm for more than five years now. Her area of practice is concentrated in domestic relations, juvenile justice, and district criminal matters. Ms. Philpot is an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the North Carolina Black Lawyers Association and the North Carolina State Bar. She is secretary/treasurer of the fourth judicial bar.
